Joint Targeted Area Inspection (JTAI) Report for North Yorkshire

We are pleased to share with you the inspection report from our recent Joint Targeted Area Inspection (JTAI), which took place across North Yorkshire from 20th January – 7th February 2025.

The inspection focused on our multi-agency responses to unborn children and those aged 0-7 who are victims of domestic abuse in North Yorkshire. It was carried out by inspectors from Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP).

The full framework of the inspection can be viewed here: Joint inspections of the response to children who are victims of domestic abuse – GOV.UK.

The report highlights the strength of partnership working across North Yorkshire and identifies several areas of good practice. We will, over the coming weeks, across our partnerships, be considering the content of this inspection report and considering the impact of the findings on our learning as a partnership going forward.

The report is available to view at Report – Area Name – Domestic Abuse JTAI

We would like to thank all those who took part in the inspection and for the commitment shown to keeping children and young people safe across North Yorkshire.
