Safeguarding Week 2026 15th – 19th June

Safeguarding Week 2026 15th – 19th June

After the success of Safeguarding Week 2025, North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership has once again partnered with North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board and Safer North Yorkshire to deliver an interesting programme of events.

Along with other partners including, East Riding, City of York Council and Hull City Council, the programme of events will take place between Monday, 15 to Friday, 19 June.

As per previous years the main theme will be “safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility” with an emphasis on how everyone can work together.

The programme has been developed for both professional and public audiences covering a wide variety of safeguarding themes looking at both adult and child safeguarding.

Sessions will be free to attend and delivered virtually or in person at varying times throughout the day to accommodate attendees’ working day or evening activities.

Some of the events and themes include hoarding awareness, rough sleeping outreach support, autism and ADHD, trauma informed practice, domestic abuse, modern slavery and much more.
