Sleep Matters: Get Involved in National Sleep Awareness Campaigns and the Sleep for All Conference 2027

Sleep plays a vital role in children’s health, wellbeing, behaviour, learning and development. To help raise awareness of the importance of healthy sleep habits, The Sleep Charity is inviting professionals from health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to get involved in a range of national initiatives aimed at improving sleep outcomes for children, young people and families.

Sleep for All Conference 2027

The Sleep Charity’s third Sleep for All Conference will take place on 3 and 4 March 2027 at the Holiday Inn, Doncaster. The two-day event will bring together leading experts, clinicians and practitioners from across the sleep sector to share the latest evidence, best practice and innovative approaches to supporting people experiencing sleep difficulties.

Day one will focus on paediatric sleep, while day two will explore adult sleep. Confirmed speakers include Professor Paul Gringras, Dr Lizzie Hill, Professor Jason Ellis and Dr Maja Schaedel, alongside several other experts from the forefront of sleep research and practice.

The conference will also provide valuable opportunities for networking, sharing ideas and connecting with organisations offering products, services and support designed to improve sleep health and outcomes.

Early bird tickets will be available from September 2026. Find out more at the Sleep for All website.

Sleeptember 2026

Professionals and organisations are also encouraged to support Sleeptember 2026, The Sleep Charity’s annual awareness campaign promoting the importance of sleep. This year’s campaign will focus on Women’s Health, with a spotlight on menopause and sleep. A supporters’ pack will be available from mid-August to help organisations raise awareness and engage their communities.

Children’s Sleep Awareness Month 2027

Taking place throughout February 2027, Children’s Sleep Awareness Month highlights the significant impact sleep has on children’s physical health, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, learning and development.

The campaign aims to support parents, carers, educators and health professionals by sharing information, practical advice and resources that help families establish healthy sleep routines, recognise common sleep challenges and improve children’s sleep outcomes.

By promoting positive sleep habits, the campaign encourages families to prioritise sleep as an essential part of a child’s overall wellbeing.
