Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements

Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements

Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023  is a multi-agency statutory guidance that sets out expectations for the systems, processes, and ways people work together to help, support, and protect children and their families.

The second chapter strengthens how the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements (local authorities, integrated care boards, and the police) work to safeguard and protect children locally, including with relevant agencies.

Safeguarding leads across North Yorkshire have worked together throughout 2024 to review the arrangements and identify what changes needed to be made to comply with the updated statutory guidance. As a result, the leads, in consultation with relevant agencies agreed on the new multi-agency safeguarding arrangements for North Yorkshire as set out in the document below.
