FREE Learning! Understanding Loss, Grief and Emotional Wellbeing in Children and Young People
Loss is not always about someone dying. For children and young people, experiences such as family breakdown, changes in important relationships and disruption to the people and networks that support them can also have a significant emotional impact.
Join Alex Neville from Just B for the next NYSCP Developments in Safeguarding online learning session on Wednesday 4 November 2026, 12:00–13:00.
The session will explore how grief and loss can affect children, young people and families, looking beyond bereavement following a death to consider the impact of other significant losses. It will help practitioners develop their understanding of the relationship between loss, trauma and emotional wellbeing, and consider how they can support children and families to build resilience and access appropriate help
