County Lines Awareness Webinar – Free Learning Opportunity for Safeguarding Professionals

The National County Lines Coordination Centre (NCLCC) is hosting a free online County Lines Awareness Webinar on 30 September, 9:00am to 11:00am, providing professionals with an opportunity to develop their understanding of county lines exploitation and the risks faced by children and vulnerable adults.

County lines remains a significant safeguarding issue, with criminal networks exploiting children and vulnerable adults to facilitate the movement and supply of drugs across the country. Recognising the signs of exploitation and understanding the factors that increase vulnerability is crucial for practitioners working with children, young people, families and adults at risk.

During this two-hour session, attendees will gain an overview of:

  • The county lines model of drug supply
  • How children and vulnerable adults are exploited within county lines activity
  • Common indicators of exploitation
  • Vulnerability factors that offenders may seek to exploit
  • Real-life case studies
  • Resources, guidance and support available to professionals

This webinar is suitable for a wide range of professionals, including colleagues from policing, children’s social care, education, health, voluntary and community organisations, youth justice, and other agencies with safeguarding responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your knowledge, improve your ability to identify exploitation, and better support children and adults who may be at risk.
