We hope this page will provide some useful information and guides about ways to keep you and your friends safe, and where you can turn to if you are feeling worried, scared or unsafe.
If you feel there is any information missing on this page, or if you have any questions about the work of the partnership you can contact the partnership via email: nyscp@northyorks.gov.uk
What is Child Abuse?
Nobody has the right to hurt you or your friends or make them do anything that feels wrong.
Telling an adult you trust about what is going on is the first step to getting the problem to stop. You don’t have to cope alone.
Abuse can mean a lot of different things. It can include neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse. Abuse could happen at home, at school, at a club, online or on the street. You have the right to be safe in every place and adults have a responsibility to make sure you are kept safe.
