Join The Children’s Society #LookCloser Programme of Learning 2026–2027
The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership is pleased to share details of The Children’s Society’s latest #LookCloser Programme of Learning, running from October 2026 to March 2027. These free online learning sessions provide valuable insight into child exploitation and abuse, drawing on national expertise, partner feedback, and the voices of children and young people.
Designed for professionals working with children, young people and families, the programme offers opportunities to deepen understanding, reflect on practice, and strengthen responses to exploitation across a range of settings. Sessions are suitable for practitioners, managers and strategic leaders, with content aimed at participants with differing levels of knowledge and experience.
What to Expect
All sessions are delivered free of charge via Microsoft Teams Live. Whilst interaction with presenters will be limited, participants will have opportunities to engage through a live Q&A function and interactive tools such as Menti. Delegates can attend as many or as few sessions as they wish.
The sessions are intended to support professional development, encourage reflective practice, and provide learning that can be shared within teams and organisations. Attendees may wish to read supporting resources beforehand, although this is not essential.
Booking Information
Places can be booked via Eventbrite through the links provided within the programme. We encourage safeguarding partners, education colleagues, health professionals, social care practitioners, police, voluntary sector organisations and anyone working with children and young people to consider attending.
