NYSCP Schools Safeguarding Conference 2026
‘Belonging Matters’
Join us for a day of learning, reflection and connection!
North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership are pleased to announce that the School Safeguarding Conference will return for its fifth annual conference on Tuesday 6th October 2026 at Pavilions of Harrogate. This year’s theme, Belonging Matters, recognises the vital role schools play in helping children and young people feel safe, valued, included and understood.
A task and finish group has been planning a series of thoughtful and relevant workshops, based on feedback from last year. These will include online safety, safeguarding recording and monitoring, misogyny and the manosphere and “Belonging”. The day will start with a thought-provoking keynote by Mark Finnis. Alongside this, we will have a wide array of partners available to speak with delegates at our Marketplace.
We are pleased to extend bookings, this year, to designated teachers and headteachers alongside designated safeguarding leads. Please note that in order to allow a wide representation from education partners, we ask that a maximum of two representatives book from each school or trust.
For this meaningful day, we are offering an Early bird price of just £80, prices will increase to £90 for bookings made after the 21st July. As usual, places are limited, and following the success of previous conferences, we expect the day to book up quickly.
On the day, you will be able to select three workshops to attend throughout the day, all workshops will be repeated at each time interval. Workshops will be on a first come, first served basis on the morning of the conference. If more than one delegate is attending from your school or trust, we would advise you select different workshops, in order to get the most from the day. Prior to attendance you will be sent a full conference pack, detailing information of all the workshops including suggested audience (primary or secondary) to enable to help you plan for the day.
Visit: NYES website to book your space.
We look forward to welcoming delegates for a day focused on strengthening belonging, safeguarding practice and partnership connections.
