Come and work at the NYSCP

Vacancy: Leadership Support Officer

The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a Leadership Support Officer to support the efficient running of the Partnership by providing comprehensive and effective business support and administrative services.

The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership came into being following the Children and Social Work Act (2017) and Working Together to Safeguarding Children (2018) and replaced what was previously a Local Safeguarding Children Board. It is made up of three statutory safeguarding partners in North Yorkshire which are NYCC, North Yorkshire Police and Integrated Care Boards. NYSCP operates through a subgroup model made up of partners who develop policy, procedures and practice guidance for professionals and volunteers who work with children, young people and families in North Yorkshire. Work is undertaken through task and finish groups and shared far and wide across all organisations. NYSCP have an independent Scrutineer who is responsible for holding partners to account and to provide scrutiny of the arrangements developed by the three statutory partners. The NYSCP Business team is there to support the NYSCP membership helping to coordinate and manage multi-agency working.

The team is made up of a Partnership Manager, two Policy and Development Officers, Child Death Review Officer, Multi Agency Child Exploitation support officer and a Leadership Support Officer.

This is a really interesting and varied role that requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player with a proven administrative background. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in business support, administration or personal assistant roles and it is essential that you have experience of taking minutes with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel, alongside the ability to coordinate with and for multi-agency partners.

For a more detailed understanding of the role please contact Hannah Ellingworth (Safeguarding Partnership Manager.) Hannah.ellingworth@northyorks.gov.uk
