Multi Agency Whole Family Approach to Domestic Abuse Services

Please see below on behalf of IDAS and York St John University Research Partnership :-

“We are undertaking an important project to develop an evidence-based support service for children and young people impacted by domestic abuse. The service will take a Multi-Agency, Whole Family Approach.

We would like the views of professionals working in York and North Yorkshire to contribute to this service development (a survey for parents is available below).

Your views are vital. Please take ten minutes to contribute your opinions and experience to develop this innovative service, by completing the survey below. Initially the service will be available in York (July 2021), expanding to North Yorkshire following the first phase of development (April 2022).

The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes of your time, and the results of the survey will shape what services are available in the coming months to support children and young people.   Click the link below to begin.

Parents Survey

In addition to a survey for professionals supporting families, we have developed a survey for parents who have experienced domestic abuse, this is whether or not they have ever received support from a domestic abuse service. We would be grateful for your support distributing the surveys to parents to ensure that we reach a broad range of people. There are differing views about what domestic abuse is and for the purpose of taking part in this research we would like to include parents who have:

 • Experienced a relationship that felt unsafe, unhealthy and/or abusive and

 • have children who were affected by this.

You may wish to use the text below to forward on to parents you are working with so that they can feed in their views.

To help us better understand how support services in our areas impact children and young people, and their families, we would like to ask you some questions about your experiences and opinions of the support services available to you and your family.

Many thanks for your support with this important project. “
